“#GirlsLead Mission is to to mentor pre-teen and teen girls through the awkward phase of transitioning into a young lady, through a 2 week summer day camp that promotes healthy living, building self esteem and social skills. Each day has a different topic with matching skills to learn, fun activity and relevant topic speaker. In addition each girl will learn what it takes to become an entrepreneur and have the opportunity to start and launch their very own business.

“#GirlsLead Vision is for our #GirlsLead campers to learn the tools needed to enter into high-school prepared to take on the pressures of peers, academics and their own emotions so that they can have a successful 4 years of high-school and move onto post secondary options.”

“#GIRLSLEAD” program are geared to enrich girls in grades 6th-12th grade on social skills, self esteem, healthy living, peer pressure bullying, and giving back through volunteering. Summer Day program involve bringing in Women Professional Speakers/Entrepreneurs and a collaboration with the community such as Prosecutor Office (Self Defense Classes), Planned Parenthood, Battered Women Shelter to name a few bring this week long class full of learning, fun, activities and awareness to the light.
When is camp?
Day Camp is held during the month of July, location is determined but will be located in Akron. Camp is from 9-2pm M-F. See upcoming Camp Flyer- for that year.
Who can be a camper?
The camper must be at least 11 years of age at time of camp.
Does camp cost?
The cost of camp is FREE, with any amount of a donation!
Who can be a Mentor?
Campers that complete the camp 100% will receive a Certificate of Achievement, T-Shirt and Water Bottle!
